Haram Haqiqatjou #31: Lying that Suhaib Webb Did Not Apologize for Playboy Noor Tagouri Article Retweet

Background

Haqiqatjou has critiqued and attacked Suhaib Webb’s involvement in the dawah scene for many years. In this latest installment, Daniel accuses Webb of promoting the lewd magazine, Playboy, by retweeting an article in which a Muslim female appeared. In a public confrontation at Maryam Masjid in Houston, Texas, Webb did not apologize for his retweet of the Playboy article. However, the next day, Webb released a video on his YouTube channel apologizing for sharing the article, recognizing his mistakes, and requesting Muslims’ forgiveness.

Haram Action

In a live stream on his Muslim Skeptic YouTube channel a few days after Webb’s public apology, Haqiqatjou lied and slandered Suhaib Webb, claiming repeatedly that Webb has never taken back or apologized for his mistakes. Has Haqiqatjou ever recanted a public mistake? Has Daniel held himself to account for his slander and lies, or does he lack theadab and ethics required to publicly apologize for what the Qur’an terms, “eating the flesh of his Muslim brother.”

Evidence of Haram

What is worse than slander, is continuing your slander after the individual being slandered publicly addresses your accusation.

The Prophet PBUH said: “Be chaste and your women will be chaste; honor your parents and your children will honor you; and if someone apologizes to his Muslim brother for something he heard about him and he does not accept his apology, he will not come to me at the Cistern.”

The Messenger of Allah PBUH said: “If a man makes an excuse to his brother and he does not accept it, he will bear a burden of sin like that of the maks collector [a tax of levy].”

Haram Haqiqatjou #30: Haqiqatjou Exposed, Slanders Omar Suleiman, Claims He Believes “Allying with LGBT is Sunnah”

Background

In his infamous “Dark Legacy” video on his Muslim Skeptic YouTube channel, Haqiqatjou claims, amongst several dozen slanderous accusations, that Omar Suleiman believes “allying with LGBT groups is Sunnah”. The video above exposes Haqiqatjou’s claim as a slanderous lie.

Haram Action

Daniel Haqiqatjou: “Omar Suleiman claims that allying with these groups politically is Sunnah”

Omar Suleiman: “Of course not! How can we find in the Sunnah any justification for allying with a group that exists on the basis of a cause that’s in DIRECT CONTRADICTION to His message”

Evidence of Haram

Abu Dharr reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “A man does not accuse another man of wickedness or unbelief but that it will be turned against him if his companion is innocent.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6045

Haram Haqiqatjou #26: Calling Mehdi Hasan a “Bitch”

Background

Mehdi Hasan, a Muslim MSNBC journalist, and presenter, wrote a book called “Win Every Argument: The Art of Debating, Persuading, and Public Speaking”. In this thread, Mehdi Hasan posts a clip of an interview with a vaccine expert where he’s asked to debate an anti-vax doctor, to which the expert responds in the negative.

While we do not condone Hasan’s views in general, it is an established fact that using foul language like this is not permitted regardless of Mehdi Hasan’s views.

Haram Action

Haqiqatjou espouses radical anti-vax views, and has even called for the murder of Dr. Anthony Fauci on his Telegram channel, Daniel Haqiqatjou Official. Here, he mocks Mehdi Hasan’s book titled “Win Every Argument”, while also cursing and calling Hasan a “bitch”. Of course, his censorship of the term does not negate the intention or the fact of the usage of the term.

Evidence of Haram

The origin of obscenity, swearing, and vulgarity is a result of a diseased heart. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said:  “A believer is not a taunter, curser, obscene or indecent.”

And from Imam Kadhim, it has been narrated regarding two men who swore at each other that: “He who started swearing is more unjust and his sin and the sin of his partner (the individual sworn at) is upon him, as long as the oppressed does not exceed.”

Haram Haqiqatjou #19: Slandering Jonathan Brown

Background

Daniel Haqiqatjou has attacked and slandered @JonathanACBrown of Georgetown University and Yaqeen Institute on many occasions, most recently in a YouTube Short from 2020 that has now gone viral after Dan reposted it. But as seen in this FB post, Dan hasn’t always been like this.

In the now-viral YouTube Short from 2020, Brown makes statements about the “right” of an individual in a secular society to insult the Prophet ﷺ, a statement that Brown recanted very quickly after. Haqiqatjou purposefully leaves out Brown’s admission of the grave error, a staple of Haram Haqiqatjous in which the slander is only possible by de-contextualizing an individual’s statement or action.

Haram Action

This is Daniel Haqiqatjou’s bread and butter, slandering fellow Muslims for the sake of his ego and to justify his brutal onslaught of attacks against major Muslim institutions in the West. Of course, in the scenario, Dr. Brown is a well-established Hadith scholar and academic who made a mistake, apologized, and recanted the statement.

Evidence of Haram

Allah commands Believers in the Quran: “O  believers! Avoid many suspicions, for indeed, some suspicions are sinful. And do not spy, nor backbite one another. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of their dead brother? You would despise that! And fear Allah. Surely Allah is the Accepter of Repentance, Most Merciful.” (Quran 49:12)
Further, the Prophet PBUH stated that “The whole of a Muslim is inviolable for another Muslim: his blood, his property, and his honor.” (Muslim)
