Haram Haqiqatjou #25: Insulting Shaykh Salah al-Sawy and Ustadh Mobeen Vaid as “Dummies” Now
Background
Over 200 scholars and daee’s signed “Navigating Differences: Clarifying Sexual and Gender Ethics in Islam”. All of them, according to Haqiqatjou, are “dummies” who were duped, including luminaries like Shaykh Salah al-Sawy, Ustadh Mobeen Vaid, and tens of other leading scholars of Islamic jurisprudence.
Haqiqatjou, seemingly lacking inspiration, imagines a future statement that more closely aligns with the image he so adamantly and slanderously seeks to portray.
Daniel says, “I can’t wait for the “Navigating Differences” sequel where they pound their fists on the table and say, “We believe that insulting the Prophet ﷺ is absolutely haram. But we want peaceful coexistence with those who insult the Prophet ﷺ. As long as they respect our constitutional rights, we will respect their constitutional right to insult the Prophet, so that we all can live in harmony.” I bet they can dupe 100 dummies into believing that this is a strong defense of the Prophet ﷺ and that everyone should sign it!”
In fact, the word “harmony” appears in the REAL statement a grand total of ZERO times. The word peaceful appears TWICE: once in the context of “recognizing our constitutional obligation to exist peacefully with those whose beliefs differ from ours”, and once in clarification of that coexistence – “Peaceful coexistence does not necessitate agreement, acceptance, affirmation, promotion, or celebration.”
Haram Action
Haqiqatjou, desperate to convince a dwindling audience that his claims for the past 4 years are true, makes up the words of a “Navigating Differences sequel”, insinuating that the scholars of North America would “respect [Americans] constitutional right to insult the Prophet ﷺ”. This, of course, is a great lie and slander.
Evidence of Haram
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “Shall I not inform you of one of the gravest of the cardinal sins?” We said: “Yes, O Messenger of Allah!” He (PBUH) said, “To join others as partners with Allah in worship and to be undutiful to one’s parents.” The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) sat up from his reclining position (in order to stress the importance of what he was going to say) and added, “I warn you making a false statement and giving a false testimony. I warn you against making a false statement and giving a false testimony.” The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) kept on repeating this (warning) till we wished he should stop.
